Can you give us some background on how the band got together?

Me and Lars are the core of “The Asteroids Galaxy Tour”. We had been friends for some years. Knowing each other from music life in Copenhagen, Denmark. One day Lars called me up saying: “Mette I have these Fabules Ideas and I want you to sing”. We met up and gave it all we had. Brought in Friends to play with us live…so, we are six people when we play…no backing tracks…we have a horn section and it’s live music.
What are some of the musical influences on your music and you?

Me and Lars share the same love for “old soul music” and Jazz as well, also George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic has good vibe inspiration… And then of course everything else we have heard throughout our lives. But we don’t think about it actually, we want to feel free and take it in all directions, we don’t want to be put into a Box..!!

Your debut album’s coming out in May – How did you find recording?

Me and Lars recorded almost everything at Lars’ small studio at his flat in Copenhagen. Lars Playes most of the instruments and he is the producer as well. We just hung out, drank a lot of beers, and tried out all ideas we had inside our heads…sounds, beats and crazy voices, mixed it all together and then BANG we had created the sound of The Asteroids Galaxy Tour.

Why ‘Fruit’?
We love Fruit, it’s healthy, comes in different shapes and colors, pick a fruit !

Take us through how your track “Around The Bend” ended up on the Apple Ads?

We trained a bird to sing a small medley of some of our songs. And then we made it fly to the apple office, do a show and deliver our EP, it worked !! Animals sell , they are the new S**t

You’ve said that “Around The Bend” wasn’t planned for a single. What are some of the songs that you anticipate being singles?
Well, what we meant was, that we had an EP coming up with “around the bend on it”. The Company that help us getting our music out through stuff like that, played it for the people at Apple and they realy liked That song, so we made it an extra single.

Any other Danish bands we should be paying attention to?

Oh No Ono” , “PowerSolo”, “Who Made Who”
