The Twilight Sad

Dentre minhas discografias, esta é uma que tenho orgulho de postar. A banda escocesa foi formada em 2003, James Graham (vocals), Andy MacFarlane, (guitar/accordion/noise), Craig Orzel (bass), e Mark Devine (drums), esses rapazes são responsáveis por musicas que se resumem a três palavras: rock + distorção + experimentalismo. A banda lançou seu primeiro álbum “Fourteen Autumns and Fifteen Winters” em 2007 sob as palavras de James Graham “[…] if you’re looking for a record with a lot of hope and happy songs then fuck off, ‘cause you wont find it here with us! […]”, da pra sacar o clima do cd, que tem nove musicas, com destaque para todas…kkkk…a banda também trás em sua discografia dois Eps, dois singles e mais um album ao vivo “Killed My Parents and Hit The Road” lançado em 2008, uma compilação das musicas da banda juntamente com covers do Joy Division (Twenty Four Hours), The Smiths (Half a Person) e Yeah Yeah Yeahs (Modern Romance). Em 2007 a banda também gravou uma versão de “Climbing Up the Wall” do Radiohead, para o album tributo ao Ok Computer (postarei o album completo em outro momento). Destaque para a arte das capas com seus desenhos inspirados nos traços da “Era de Ouro”das historias em quadrinhos dos anos 50. Não posso deixar de comentar o sotaque maravilhosamente perfeito de Graham! Desfrutem!!!

O mais novo album do TTS (infelizmente sem as capas de desenhos com traços “cinquentistas”) "Forget The Night Ahead" com 11 músicas repletas das habituais distorções e melancolia do quarteto escocês. Quatro musicas já estavam disponíveis, duas do álbum ao vivo “Killed My Parents And Hit The Road” intituladas neste como “Untitled #27” e “Untitled #28” (agora com os títulos “The Room” e “The Neighbours Can’t Breathe” respectivamente), e duas do single “I Became a Prostitute”... O single já dava uma prévia do orgasmo sonoro que seria o segundo álbum da banda, confiram o vídeo da musica I Became a Prostitute!
