Nouvelle Vague

Nouvelle Vague é um coletivo musical francês arranjado por Marc Collin e por Olivier Libaux. O nome deles é um jogo de palavras, referindo-se simultaneamente à “francesidade” deles, ao movimento artístico do cinema francês Nouvelle Vague, dos anos 60, à fonte de suas canções (todas são covers de músicas punk e new wave dos anos 80) e ao uso do estilo Bossa nova, também dos anos 60 (Fonte: Lastfm). Bom, a banda interpreta musicas de inúmeras bandas dentre elas: Joy Division, Depeche Mode, The Clash, The Cure, Dead Kennedys, The Buzzcocks, Billy Idol, New Order e etc. As versões fantásticas são marcadas pelos doces vocais femininos ...e quem não conhece Cramps, Clash e Dead Kennedys nunca irão imaginar que as musicas Human Fly, Guns of Brixton e Too Drunk To Fuck são das respectivas bandas. A moçada do Nouvelle lançou o ultimo álbum “LIVE - Aula Magna” ano passado. O cd foi gravado em 2007 em Portugal onde a banda faz muito sucesso. Aproveito o mesmo post pra colocar a disposição dos seguidores da banda o álbum "Hollywood, Mon Amour - 80's Movie Songs Reinvented" de 2008, com produção e arranjos de Marc Collin é uma coletânea com os hits do cinema hollywoodiano dos anos 80, trilha de filmes como RockIII, Flashdance, Footloose, American Gigolo, 007 etc. Este álbum é praticamente um album do Nouvelle Vague pois conta com a participação de várias vocalistas e ex vocais da banda, além delas detaque para Juliette Lewis. Outro presentinho é o álbum solo da "Nouvelle" vocalista Mélanie Pain lançado este ano. Divirtam-se!!
