Packed full with brilliantly surreal pop songs, influenced by everything from folk, electronica and blues, to dark Americana and the west coast sound of the Beach Boys; a truly original and mesmerising debut stuffed with clever, witty, off-kilter lyrics and stunning vocal harmonies complete its brilliance. All the more intriguing for the fact that the band is French, ranging in age from 15 to 26, and in size from 5’ 3 to 6’ 5, and most in between, making foran impressive stage presence. Each of the seven band members is astounding. From frontman and elder statesman Howard Hughes (26 and 6’ 5), an enigmatic figure with his Stetson hat and baritone voice, subtly evoking the ghosts of Johnny Cash and Leonard Cohen, to the youngest member Leo Bear Creek - 15 year-old drummer, songwriter, singer and occasional left-handed ukulele player - who is already an accomplished musician (www.discovery-records.com).
